Terms and conditions

Plain English. Updated 30 October 2026.

1. Who we are

Rebuildery (“we”, “us”, “I”) is the trading name of Reece Dalgas, a sole trader based in Southampton. Our postal address is shown on every receipt and we will give it to anyone who asks. You can reach us at hello@rebuildery.co.uk or on 07946 524948. “You” means the business that asks for or accepts a preview, website or hosting from us.

These terms apply to every preview, website build and hosting plan we provide. They are written for business customers.

2. Free previews

A preview is a rebuilt version of your website that we make before you have agreed to buy anything. It is free and creates no obligation on you.

  • We build previews only from information that is publicly available on your website and other public sources.
  • Previews are published on an unlisted address at preview.rebuildery.co.uk, marked so that search engines do not index them.
  • If you ask us to remove a preview, or tell us you are not interested, we delete it promptly and do not contact you again about it.
  • A preview may use your business name, wording and photos to show what your site could look like. We do not use them for anything else, and we never publish your old site.

3. Ordering a website

An agreement starts when you tell us in writing (email is fine) that you want to go ahead with a preview, and we confirm. Until then, neither of us owes the other anything.

The standard website is four pages: home, services, your work and contact. Anything beyond that, such as an online shop, booking system or new logo, is not included unless we agree it in writing first.

4. Price and payment

The price is £495 for the website, paid once, and £15 a month for hosting. We will tell you in writing before you agree whether VAT applies.

  • Once you have approved the finished site, we send you one secure GoCardless link. Through it you pay the £495 by instant bank transfer and set up the £15 a month Direct Debit at the same time. The site then goes live on your domain.
  • Hosting is collected by Direct Debit on the 1st of each month, and you are protected by the Direct Debit Guarantee. We send a receipt for every payment.
  • We never ask for payment before you have seen and approved the finished site, and we never ask for card details by email.
  • If a hosting payment fails and is not paid within 30 days, we may take the site offline after giving you 7 days’ written notice.

5. Changes and launch

Before launch you can ask for two rounds of changes to the preview, such as wording, photos, colours or page order, at no extra cost. Changes that amount to a different project are outside these terms unless we agree otherwise in writing.

To launch, we need access to your domain settings, or you can make the change yourself with our instructions. Your domain remains registered in your name throughout.

6. Hosting

Hosting covers keeping the site online, a security certificate (HTTPS), routine technical updates and small fixes if something stops working. Sites are hosted on Cloudflare’s network. Hosting runs month to month with no minimum term.

We aim to keep your site online at all times but cannot promise uninterrupted service, as hosting depends on third-party providers. We will fix problems within our control as quickly as we reasonably can.

7. Who owns what

Once you have paid the £495 in full, you own the design and content of your website and may use it as you wish, including moving it to another host. Your own wording, photos, logo and trade marks always remain yours.

Some parts of the site, such as fonts, code libraries or stock images, are licensed from third parties. You may use them as part of your website under those licences, and we will tell you if any carries extra conditions.

8. Your content

You confirm that you have the right to use any material you give us or ask us to keep from your old site, and that the facts on your site (such as licences, accreditations and prices) are accurate. You are responsible for keeping them up to date, and we will update them when you ask.

9. Liability

We will carry out our work with reasonable care and skill. Our total liability to you under any agreement is limited to the amount you have paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for loss of profit, business or data, or for losses we could not reasonably have foreseen.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

10. Ending the agreement

  • You can cancel hosting at any time by giving one month’s notice by email. We cancel the Direct Debit at the end of that month. There is no exit fee.
  • When hosting ends, we will send you a copy of your site’s files so you can host it elsewhere, provided all payments are up to date.
  • We can end hosting by giving you one month’s notice, and will hand over your files in the same way.
  • Either of us can end the agreement straight away if the other seriously breaks these terms and does not put it right within 14 days of being asked.

11. Law and complaints

If something isn’t right, email hello@rebuildery.co.uk and we will try to sort it out quickly and fairly. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.

We may update these terms from time to time. Changes do not affect an agreement already in place unless you agree to them.
